An inner calling led Seema to pursue a Diploma in Urdu from Mumbai University in 2015. After studying the works of Ghalib, Faraz and Faiz & attending several mehfils and mushairas, 'Noor' emerged to perform over 200 original shayaris.

Noor holds diverse learning sessions for those looking to acquaint themselves with a beautiful language, enhance Urdu vocabulary & 'lahja' or explore much-loved ghazals & shayari. She also works with emerging actors and artists to improve their accent, pronunciation & voice modulation in Urdu.

As a true linguaphile, Seema has also studied Spanish (2019-21) to obtain a Level 6 accreditation from an Instituto Accredited Cervantes Center in Mumbai.

Life before Urdu saw Seema acquire an education in Engineering & an MBA in Marketing. She quit trading in index derivatives to share her love for Urdu with the world.

Her recent 1 hour special titled 'Kuch Urdu Kuch Noor Kuch Guftagu' is a poetry & conversational piece that has received immense love at SOHO House Mumbai, Bangalore International Centre, Lahe Lahe & Barefoot Goa.
