About Seema 'Noor'

Seema obtained her Urdu Diploma from Mumbai University in 2017 and is certified in Ghazal Writing by Rekhta. She guides both beginners and enthusiasts in exploring and expressing the rich emotional depth of the Urdu language through various media - poetry, performances, learning sessions and lyrics.

 

As a true linguaphile, Seema obtained a 'B' Level (2 yrs) in Spanish in 2021 from an IACC in Mumbai. Life before Urdu saw Seema acquire an education in Engineering & an MBA. Her prior work experience spans across marketing & trading in derivatives.

 

Her workshops & solo performances are held in Goa, Bombay & Bangalore. Venues include Art & Charlie, SOHO House & the prestigious Bangalore International Centre. She also recited her original Ghazals at Jashn-e-Rekhta 2024, the world’s largest Urdu festival.

In addition to her junoon for Urdu, Seema is an avid reader and a committed practitioner of Kalaripayattu.
